Yesterday I visited the SAIL-in parade at the North Sea Channel from IJmuiden to Amsterdam. Seen from a photographic point of view it was not that interesting or succesfull but I came home with a couple of nice pictures I wanted to join with you.

As you may have read on this blog me and some colleagues of the photographic club had an exhibition during the Delft Jazz festival. We got the opportunity to show our work in an abandoned shop near one of the festival stages. Below are some pics from that exhibition.

Done a thousand times by a thousand photographers but still it’s nice to take some pictures there and be suprised with the creepy silence. You would expect schoolkids coming round the corner any minute or people shopping for groceries. The only things remaining is a cafe (especially crowded during lunchtime) and a graveyard. And some people who refuse to depart…..

A fresh new start

Hi all,

As you may have noticed this blog kept very quiet for the last 7 months. Well….that is over from now on I have been quite busy with all kinds of activities including a lot of photography stuff and redesigning this blog. You are now looking at the new design. The history is gone! The past is no more!

Soon my website will also be updated but that will still take some time.

From now on I will update this blog frequently so come back later and enjoy the pictures

‘Muziek’ in beeld door FC ‘59

Zaterdag 14 augustus organiseert de Delftse Fotoclub FC ’59 een fototentoonstelling, aansluitend bij Jazz ‘n’ Picnic in Poptapark. De tentoonstelling heeft als thema ‘ Muziek’. De enthousiaste FC ’59-leden Marius Schinkel, Marc Algera, Peter de Hoog en Jan Willem Kommer tonen in het leegstaande pand Papsouwselaan 256 (tegenover Boek- en Kantoorboekhandel Paagman) een heel aantal fraaie beelden rond het inspirerende thema ‘Muziek’. De tentoonstelling is gratis toegankelijk van 10.00 tot 20.00 uur, dus kom een kijkje nemen. Een aantal fotografen zal aanwezig zijn.

English summary

On August 14th the Delft-based photoclub FC’59 organises a photo exhibition. This exposition will combine with the Jazz ‘n Picnic @ Poptapark, Delft.

FC’59 members Marius Schinkels, Peter de Hoog and Jan Willem Kommer will show you a number of images on the inspiring theme of “Music”. The exhibition will be accessible for free from 10am till 8pm in the empty building at Papsouwselaan 256.
